Twitch Will Allow Uploading of Video Clips Just Like YouTube

Amazon-backed Twitch, with over 100 million monthly users watching livestream of gaming and eSports, is launching the ability to upload video clips, directly competing with Google’s YouTube.

Emmett Shear, who leads Twitch for Amazon, announced at TwitchCon 2015 they will add video uploads and playlists in 2016.

Google recently launched YouTube Gaming to compete with Twitch’s massive audience, which includes almost 2 million broadcasters.

Playlists will not only allow past streams to be viewed, but deter Twitch users from uploading playlists on YouTube.
